ORDINANCE NO. 150563

 

Authorizing a Design Professional Services contract with Black & Veatch Corporation for the OK Creek Gates In-Line Storage Project; authorizing a maximum expenditure of $790,000.00; and recognizing this ordinance as having an accelerated effective date.

 

BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF KANSAS CITY:

 

Section 1.  That the Director of Water Services Department is authorized to execute Contract No. 1174 with Black & Veatch Corporation, on behalf of Kansas City, for the OK Creek Gates In-Line Storage Project, Project No. 81000713. A copy of the contract is on file in the Office of the Director of Water Services.

 

Section 2. That the Director of Water Services is authorized to expend up to the sum of $790,000.00 from Account No. AL-8187-807769-B-611040-81000713, to satisfy the cost of this contract.

 

Section 3. That this ordinance, relating to the design, repair, maintenance or construction of a public improvement, is recognized as an ordinance with an accelerated effective date as provided by Section 503(a)(3)(D) of the City Charter and shall take effect in accordance with Section 503, City Charter.

I hereby certify that there is a balance, otherwise unencumbered, to the credit of the appropriation to which the foregoing expenditure is to be charged, and a cash balance, otherwise unencumbered, in the treasury, to the credit of the fund from which payment is to be made, each sufficient to meet the obligation hereby incurred
