RESOLUTION NO. 050438

 

Congratulating the basketball team and coaches from Archbishop OHara High School on the occasion of its victory at the Class 4 Missouri State High School Championship.

 

WHEREAS, on March 12, 2005, at the Mizzou Arena in Columbia, Missouri, the Archbishop OHara High School boys basketball team defeated Willard High School in overtime by a score of 81-77; and

 

WHEREAS, the Archbishop OHara High School boys basketball team had an overall record for the 2005 season of 27 wins - 5 losses; and

 

WHEREAS, Archbishops winning basketball team is led by Todd Magwire as the head coach, John OConnor as the athletic director and Lewis Smith, Jay McNamara, Eric Greble and Jed Smith as assistant coaches with the members of the team being Tokie Aromona, Marc Davis, Shane Dennis, Adrian Jackson, Casey McNamara, Jake Ortiz, Keith Robinson, Andrew Rogers, Michael Sanders, Jesse Thomas, Brandon Toliver, Marcus Walker and James Forrester; NOW, THEREFORE,

 

BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF KANSAS CITY:

 

That the Mayor and Council hereby congratulate the basketball team and coaches from Archbishop OHara High School on the occasion of its victory at the Class 4 Missouri Sate High School Championship; and

 

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that this Resolution be spread upon the Minutes of the Council in testimony thereof and that copies hereof be presented to the coaches and members of the Archbishop OHara basketball team with the congratulations of the Mayor and Council for a championship season.
