ORDINANCE NO. 120367
Reducing appropriations in the
Public Safety Sales Tax Fund in the amount of $455,000.00; appropriating that
amount from the Unappropriated Fund Balance of the Public Safety Sales Tax Fund
to the Police Headquarters Renovation account; authorizing Amendment No. 3 to
an agreement with Helix Architecture + Design; and recognizing an emergency.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE
COUNCIL OF KANSAS CITY:
Section 1. That
the following revenue account in the Public Safety Sales Tax Fund is hereby
reduced by the following amount:
KCPDU 12-2320-210000-599900 Police
Headquarters Renovation $455,000.00
Section 2. That
the following account in the Public Safety Sales Tax Fund is hereby reduced by
the following amount:
KCPDU 12-2320-217007-B Police
Headquarters Renovation $455,000.00
Section 3. That
the following account in the Public Safety Sales Tax Fund is hereby reduced by
the following amount:
KCMBU 12-2320-129996-X Transfer
to KCPDU $455,000.00
Section 4. That
the sum of $455,000.00 is appropriated from the Unappropriated Fund Balance of
the Public Safety Sales Tax Fund to the following account in the Public Safety
Sales Tax Fund:
KCMBU 12-2320-878025-B Police
Headquarters Renovation $455,000.00
Section 5. That
the Director of Capital Projects Department is hereby authorized to
execute, on behalf of the City, Amendment No. 3 in the amount of $455,000.00
with Helix Architecture + Design for design services for Project No. 07000150 –
Police Headquarters Renovation from funds appropriated to Account No.
12-2320-878025-B. A copy of the amendment is on file in the Capital Projects
Department.
Section 6. That
this ordinance is recognized as an emergency measure within the provisions of
Section 503 of the City Charter in that it appropriates money, and shall take
effect in accordance with that section.

I hereby certify
that there is a balance, otherwise unencumbered, to the credit of the
appropriation to which the foregoing expenditure is to be charged, and a cash
balance, otherwise unencumbered, in the treasury, to the credit of the fund
from which payment is to be made, each sufficient to meet the obligation hereby
incurred.
