ORDINANCE NO. 051333

 

Amending Ordinance No. 050876 by repealing Section 5 and enacting in its place a new section, to correct an error in the section, all in reference to the real estate exchange agreement between the City and the State of Missouri for the Downtown Entertainment District Project.

 

BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF KANSAS CITY:

 

Section 1. That Ordinance No. 050876 is hereby amended by repealing Section 5 of that ordinance and enacting it its place a new section, correcting an error in the section, to read as follows:

 

Section 5. That the Director of City Development is hereby authorized to execute a real estate exchange agreement with the State of Missouri for the conveyance of the property at 1410 Genessee by the City to the State and the conveyance of the property at 1411 Main by the State to the City. The Director is further authorized to take all steps necessary to effectuate the conveyance of the properties, including the execution of an escrow agreement and necessary deed in connection with this conveyance. The property to be conveyed to the City from the State of Missouri is legally described as follows:

 

Tract 1: The South 1/2 of Lot 191, Block 14, McGEE'S ADDITION, a subdivision in Kansas City, Jackson County, Missouri, according to the recorded plat thereof;

 

Tract 2: All of Lot 192, Block 14, McGEE'S ADDITION, a subdivision in Kansas City, Jackson County, Missouri, according to the recorded plat thereof;

 

Tract 3: Lots 193, 194, 201, 202 and 203, Block 14, McGEE'S ADDITION, a subdivision in Kansas City, Jackson County, Missouri, according to the recorded plat thereof.

 

The property to be conveyed from the City to the State of Missouri is legally described as follows:

 

Lots 2 and 5, Gateway 2000, Missouri, a Subdivision in Kansas City, Jackson County, Missouri, according to the recorded plat thereof.

 


The real estate exchange agreement and escrow agreement are approved in substantial form as those on file in the office of the Director of City Development.
