ORDINANCE NO. 960147

 

Approving a hospital plan for Truman Medical Center in District R-5 (High Apartments) on approximately a 3.1 acre tract of land generally located at the southeast corner of 23rd Street and Charlotte Avenue. (7040-P-2)

 

BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF KANSAS CITY:

 

Section A. That a hospital plan for Truman Medical Center in District R-5 (High Apartments) on approximately a 3.1 acre tract of land generally located at the southeast corner of 23rd Street and Charlotte Avenue, and more specifically described as follows:

 

All of Lots 1 through 13 and 16 through 36, "Bartlett Place", a subdivision in Kansas City, Jackson County, Missouri, together with the vacated alleys contained therein; and all that part of the Northeast 1/4 of the Southeast 1/4 of Section 8, Township 49, Range 33 in said city, county and state, more particularly described as follows: Beginning at the northeast corner of Lot 16 in said "Bartlett Place", said point also being on the west right of way line of Campbell Street, as now established; thence north, along said west right of way line, a distance of 55.00 feet to a point on the south line of a vacated alley as shown on the plat of said "Bartlett Place"; thence west, along said south line and parallel to the north line of said Lot 16, a distance of 30.00 feet; thence south, continuing along said south line and parallel to the west right of way line of Campbell Street, a distance of 5.00 feet; thence west, continuing along said south line and parallel to the north of said Lot 16, a distance of 125.00 feet; thence southwesterly, continuing along said south line, a distance of 7.07 feet to a point on the east line of a vacated alley, as shown on the plat of said "Bartlett Place"; thence south, along said east line and parallel to the west right of way line of said Campbell Street, a distance of 45.00 feet to the northwest corner of said Lot 16; thence east, along the north line of said Lot 16, a distance of 160.00 feet to the point of beginning. Containing 133,993 square feet or 3.076 acres, more or less.

 

is hereby approved, subject to the following conditions:

 

1. That the developer cause the area to be platted and processed in accordance with Chapter 66, Code of Ordinances of the City of Kansas City, Missouri, as amended,

commonly known as the Subdivision Regulations.

 

2. That the developer submit a storm drainage study to the City Engineer's Office for approval and that the developer make any improvements as required by the City

Engineer's Office.

 

3. That the developer install flashing lights at the pedestrian crosswalks on Charlotte Avenue.

 

4. That the developer receive the approval of the Board of Zoning Adjustment for any signage.

 

A copy of said hospital plan is on file in the office of the City Clerk under Document No. 960147, which is attached hereto and made a part hereof.

 

Section B. That the Council finds and declares that before taking any action on the proposed plan hereinabove, all public notices and hearings required by the Zoning Ordinance have been given and had.
