RESOLUTION NO. 911497

Requesting the Land Clearance for Redevelopment Authority of Kansas City to consider an amendment to the Urban Renewal Plan for Infill Housing Urban Renewal Project Area No. 42 to remove the property at 2445 Benton from the acquisition category.

WHEREAS, by Ordinance No. 910868, approved August 8, 1991, the City Council declared the Infill Housing Urban Renewal Project Area No. 42 as a blighted area in need of rehabilitation and redevelopment and approved a urban renewal plan for the same; and

WHEREAS, certain information has come to light to suggest that the property at 2445 Benton should be removed from the acquisition category of such Urban Renewal Plan; and

WHEREAS, the City desires that the Land Clearance for Redevelopment Authority of Kansas City consider the appropriate actions necessary to delete 2445 Benton from the acquisition category; NOW, THEREFORE,

BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF KANSAS CITY:

That the Land Clearance for Redevelopment Authority is hereby requested to review the Infill Housing Urban Renewal Project Area No. 42 and to consider the deletion of property at 2445 Benton from the acquisition category.

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the City Clerk is hereby directed to cause a copy of this Resolution to be delivered to the Land Clearance for Redevelopment Authority of Kansas City, Missouri.
