ORDINANCE NO. 070131

 

Accepting and authorizing a grant from Walmart Inc. in the amount of $10,000.00; estimating and appropriating funds in the amount of $10,000.00 in the Supportive Housing Rehabilitation Loan Fund for Home Weatherization; and recognizing an emergency.

 

BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF KANSAS CITY:

 

Section 1. That the Director of Neighborhood and Community Services is hereby authorized to accept a grant from Walmart Inc. for the purpose of providing weatherization services to eligible residents in the amount of $10,000.00.

 

Section 2. That the revenue in the following account of the Supportive Housing Rehabilitation Loan fund is hereby estimated in the following amount:

 

07-6380-570001-483165 Contr. Walmart Home Weatherization $10,000.00

 

Section 3. That the appropriations in the following accounts of the Supportive Housing Rehabilitation Loan Fund are hereby increased in the following amounts:

 

07-6380-572362-A Home Weatherization $ 5,000.00

07-6380-572362-B Home Weatherization 5,000.00

TOTAL $10,000.00

 

Section 4. This ordinance is recognized as an emergency measure within the provisions of Section 503 of the City Charter in that it provides for the expenses of City government and shall take effect in accordance with that section.

I hereby certify that there is a balance, otherwise unencumbered, to the credit of the appropriation to which the foregoing expenditure is to be charged, and a cash balance, otherwise unencumbered, in the treasury, to the credit of the fund from which payment is to be made, each sufficient to meet the obligation hereby incurred.
