ORDINANCE NO. 041409

 

Rezoning an area of approximately 36.1 acres generally located on the north side of N.E. 80th Street, about 1,500 feet east of N. Brighton Avenue and extending north to Missouri Highway 152, from District RA to District R-4. (13087-P)

 

BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF KANSAS CITY:

 

Section A. That Chapter 80, Code of Ordinances of the City of Kansas City, Missouri, commonly known as the Zoning Ordinance, is hereby amended by enacting a new section to be known as Section 80-11A0604, rezoning an area of approximately 36.1 acres generally located on the north side of N.E. 80th Street, about 1,500 feet east of N. Brighton Avenue and extending north to Missouri Highway 152, from District RA (Agricultural) to District R-4 (Low Apartments), said section to read as follows:

 

Section 80-11A0604. That an area legally described as:

 

A tract of land in the Southeast Quarter of Section 8, Township 51, Range 32, Kansas City, Clay County, Missouri, being described as follows: Beginning at the Southeast corner of said Southeast Quarter; thence North 88o4344 West, along the South line of said Southeast Quarter, 857.40 feet; thence Southerly, along a curve to the right, having an initial tangent bearing of South 01o1616 West, a radius of 630.01 feet, a central angle of 47o4008, an arc distance of 524.15 feet; thence Southeasterly, along a curve to the left, having a common tangent with the last described course, a radius of 25.00 feet, a central angle of 85o4452, an arc distance of 37.41 feet to a point on the Northerly right-of-way line of Northeast 80th Street, as now established; thence Northwesterly, along said Northerly right-of-way line, on a curve to the left, having an initial tangent bearing of North 36o4827 West, a radius of 1847.12 feet, a central angle of 15o5253, an arc distance of 511.99 feet; thence North 37o1113 East, 179.40 feet; thence South 88o4353 East, 76.02 feet; thence North 38o1658 East, 552.28 feet; thence North 0o5944 East, 59.60 feet; thence North 89o0016 West, 27.88 feet; thence Westerly, Northwesterly, Northerly and Northeasterly, along a curve to the right, tangent to the last described course, having a radius of 214.00 feet, a central angle of 157o0840, an arc distance of 586.94 feet; thence North 0o5944 East, 399.53 feet; thence South 88o4818 East, 1020.31 feet to a point on the East line of the Southeast Quarter of said Section 8; thence South 0o3833 West, along said East line, 1312.27 feet to the Point of Beginning. Containing 36.06 acres, more or less.

 


is hereby rezoned from District RA (Agricultural) to District R-4 (Low Apartments), all as shown outlined on a map marked Section 80-11A0604, which is attached hereto and made a part hereof, and which is hereby adopted as a part of an amendment to the zoning maps constituting a part of said chapter and as an amendment to Section 80-11 thereof.

 

Section B. That the Council finds and declares that before taking any action on the proposed amendment hereinabove, all public notices have been given and hearings have been held as required by the Zoning Ordinance.
