RESOLUTION NO. 020415

Stating the intent of the Council to provide community development block grant funds in the 2003 and 2004 Consolidated Housing and Community Development Plans for a $1 million challenge grant over a two year period to Operation Breakthrough/St. Vincents Child Care for improvements to its facility at 3039 Troost.

WHEREAS, after review of the application for community development block grant funding for $1 million for improvements to Operation Breakthrough/St. Vincents, it was determined that such improvements qualify for funding under community development block grant regulations; and

WHEREAS, the Council states its intent to provide the community development block grant funds over a two year period ($500,000.00 each year) to Operation Breakthrough for improvements to its facility in order to assist in providing child care services to the residents of Kansas City; NOW, THEREFORE,

BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF KANSAS CITY:

That the Council hereby states its intent to provide community development block grant funds in the 2003 and 2004 Consolidated Housing and Community Development Plans for a challenge grant of $1 million over a two year period ($500,000.00 each year) to Operation Breakthrough/St. Vincents Child Care for improvements to its facility at 3039 Troost.
