ORDINANCE NO. 120547

 

Authorizing a Cost Share Agreement for Planning Assistance between the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers and the City of Kansas City, Missouri; authorizing the Director of Water Services to expend $100,000.00 for the agreement; and recognizing an emergency.

 

BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF KANSAS CITY:

 

Section 1. The Director of Water Services is hereby authorized to enter into and execute a Cost Share Agreement for Planning Assistance between the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers and the City of Kansas City, Missouri, for the Line Creek Watershed Study Phase II.

 

Section 2. That the Director of Water Services is hereby authorized to expend up to $100,000.00 from funds previously appropriated in Account No. 13-3090-808208-B-8200154, Water and Sewer NC2, to satisfy the cost of the agreement.

 

Section 3. That this ordinance, relating to the design, repair, maintenance or construction of a public improvement, is recognized as an emergency measure within the provisions of Section 503(a)(3)(D) of the City Charter and shall take effect in accordance with that section.

I hereby certify that there is a balance, otherwise unencumbered, to the credit of the appropriation to which the foregoing expenditure is to be charged, and a cash balance, otherwise unencumbered, in the treasury, to the credit of the fund from which payment is to be made, each sufficient to meet the obligation hereby incurred.
