ORDINANCE NO. 900426

 

Amending Chapter 65, Revised Ordinances of Kansas City, Missouri, 1956, commonly known as the Zoning Ordinance, is hereby amended by enacting a new section to be known as Section 65.010A2339, rezoning an area of 1.58 acre located on the north side of Independence Boulevard from a point 1/2 way between Maple Boulevard and Garfield Avenue eastward to Brooklyn Avenue from District C-2 (Local Retail Business) to District R-2b (Two-Family Dwelling). BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF KANSAS CITY:

 

Section A. That Chapter 65, Revised Ordinances of Kansas City, Missouri, 1956, commonly known as the Zoning Ordinance is hereby amended by enacting a new section to be known as Section 65.010A2339, rezoning an area of 1.58 acre located on the north side of Independence Boulevard from a point 1/2 way between Maple Boulevard and Garfield Avenue eastward to Brooklyn Avenue from District C-2 (local retail business) to District R-2b (two-family dwelling), said section to read as follows:

 

Section 65.010A2339. That an area legally described as:

 

Part of the NE 1/4 of the NE 1/4 and the NW 1/4 of the NE 1/4 Section 30-50-33.

 

Beginning at the Northwest corner of Independence Avenue and Brooklyn Avenue thence West 358.0 feet to the Northeast Corner of Independence Avenue and Garfield thence North 130 feet to a point on the East right of way of Garfield Avenue thence East 358.0 feet to a point on the West right of way of Brooklyn Avenue thence South 130 feet to the Point of Beginning.

Beginning at a point on the Northwest corner of Independence Avenue and Garfield Avenue thence West 185.0 feet thence North 130 feet thence East 185.0 feet to a point on the West right of way of Garfield thence South to the Point of Beginning, all lying within Kansas City, Jackson County, Missouri.

 

 

is hereby rezoned from District C-2 (local retail business) to District R-2b (two-family dwelling), all as shown outlined on a map marked Section 65.010A2339, which is attached hereto and made a part hereof, and which is hereby adopted as a part of an amendment to the zoning maps constituting a part of said chapter and as an amendment to Section 65.010 thereof.
Section B. That the Council finds and declares that before taking any action on the proposed amendment hereinabove, all public notices and hearings required by the Zoning Ordinance have been given and had.
