Authorizing a $48,280.00
First Amendment to Agreement No. 990044 with VanDoren, Hazard and Stallings, Inc.,
for engineering services in connection with barrier/guardrail for bridges and
culverts at various locations City-wide and appropriating $120.00 to the Youth
Employment Fund.
BE IT ORDAINED BY
THE COUNCIL OF KANSAS CITY:
Section 1. That
the Director of Public Works is hereby authorized to enter into and execute, on
behalf of the City, a $48,280.00 First Amendment to Agreement No. 990044 with
VanDoren, Hazard and Stallings, Inc.,
essentially in
the form attached hereto and incorporated herein by reference, relating to
engineering services in connection with barrier/guardrail for bridges and
culverts at various locations City-wide, to expand the scope of Phase II, in
Kansas City, Missouri, Council District Nos. 1, 3, 4 and 6, located in Jackson,
Clay and Platte Counties, Project No. 5430, to be completed in two phases:
Phase I: Design
Report
Phase II: Final
Design and Construction Documents
Section 2. That
the Director of Public Works is hereby authorized to expend the sum of
$48,280.00 from funds previously appropriated to Account No. 02-100-089-7702-T
for the aforesaid First Amendment to Agreement No. 990044.
Section 3. That
the appropriation in the following account of the General Fund is hereby
reduced by the following amount:
02-100-089-7702-T Bridge Maintenance $120.00
Section 4. That
the sum of $120.00 is hereby appropriated from the Unappropriated Fund Balance
of the General Fund to the following account in the General Fund:
02-100-012-9089-B Transfer
to Youth Employment Fund $120.00
Section 5. That
the revenue in the following account of the Youth Employment Fund is hereby
reestimated in the following additional amount:
02-244-012-9200 Transfer
from General Fund $120.00
Section 6. That
the sum of $120.00 is hereby appropriated from the Unappropriated Fund Balance
of the Youth Employment Fund to the following account in the Youth Employment
Fund:
02-244-089-7004-T Quarter
Percent for Youth Employment Fund $120.00
Section 7. That
the Director of Finance is hereby authorized to transfer $120.00 from the
General Fund to the Youth Employment Fund.

I hereby certify
that there is a balance, otherwise unencumbered, to the credit of the
appropriation to which the foregoing expenditure is to be charged, and a cash
balance, otherwise unencumbered, in the treasury, to the credit of the fund
from which payment is to be made, each sufficient to meet the obligation hereby
incurred.
