COMMITTEE SUBSTITUTE FOR ORDINANCE NO. 180817

Reducing the Contingent Appropriation in the General Fund by $310,000.00; appropriating $125,000.00 from the Unappropriated Fund Balance of the General Fund to One-IT to cover the cost for data backup for the Kansas City Police Department; appropriating $35,000.00 from the Unappropriated Fund Balance of the General Fund to cover the cost of tactical weapons for the Police Department; and appropriating $150,000.00 from the Unappropriated Fund Balance of the General Fund to the Police Department to match donations received from the Police Foundation of Kansas City.

BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF KANSAS CITY:

Section 1. The appropriation in the following account of the General Fund is hereby reduced by the following amount:

19-1000-179990-B Contingent Appropriation $310,000.00

Section 2. That the amount of $125,000.00 is hereby appropriated from the Unappropriated Fund Balance of the General Fund to the following account;

19-1000-071867-E One-IT $125,000.00

Section 3. That the amount of $185,000.00 is hereby appropriated from the Unappropriated Fund Balance of the General Fund to the following account:

KCMBU-19-1000-129996-X Transfer to KCPDU $185,000.00

Section 4. That the revenue in the following account of the KCPDU General Fund is hereby estimated in the following additional amount:

KCPDU-19-1000-210000-599900 Transfer from KCMBU $185,000.00

Section 5. That the sum of $185,000.00 is hereby appropriated from the Unappropriated Fund Balance of the General Fund to the following accounts:

KCPDU-19-1000-211050-C Tactical Equipment $ 35,000.00

KCPDU-19-1000-211491-E Police Equipment 150,000.00

TOTAL $185,000.00

I hereby certify that there is a balance, otherwise unencumbered, to the credit of the appropriation to which the foregoing expenditure is to be charged, and a cash balance, otherwise unencumbered, in the treasury, to the credit of the fund from which payment is to be made, each sufficient to meet the obligation hereby incurred.
