ORDINANCE NO. 950609

 

Authorizing the Director of the Office of Environmental Management and Waste Minimization to enter into an agreement with Bridging The Gap whereby it will operate seven part-time recycling centers and one full-time one until April 30, 1996, for which the City will provide $341,000.00 in previously appropriated funding.

 

BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF KANSAS CITY:

 

Section 1. That the Director of the Office of Environmental Management and Waste Minimization is hereby authorized on behalf of the City to enter into an agreement with Bridging The Gap, a Missouri not-for-profit corporation, whereby it will operate seven part-time recycling centers and one full-time recycling center until April 30, 1996, for which the Director is authorized to pay $341,000.00 from funds previously appropriated in Account No. 96-100-010-1400-B-1908. The agreement shall substantially conform to the agreement which is attached hereto and made a part hereof by reference.

I hereby certify that there is a balance, otherwise unencumbered, to the credit of the appropriation to which the foregoing expenditure is to be charged, and a cash balance, otherwise unencumbered, in the treasury, to the credit of the fund from which payment is to be made, each sufficient to meet the obligation hereby incurred.
