ORDINANCE NO. 040747
Amending Chapters 48 and
50, Code of Ordinances, by repealing Section 48-47, Maintenance of swimming and
architectural pools, and 48-48, Stagnant water, and enacting in lieu thereof
new Sections 48-48, 56-115 and 56-438 of like subject matter.
BE IT ORDAINED BY
THE COUNCIL OF KANSAS CITY:
Section 1. That
Chapter 48, Code of Ordinances of the City of Kansas City, Missouri, is hereby
amended by repealing Sections 48-47, Maintenance of swimming and architectural
pools, and 48-48, Stagnant water, and enacting in lieu thereof a new Section
48-48, to read as follows:
Sec. 48-48. Stagnant
water.
Stagnant water on
any land, building, structure, or in any container or swimming pool is hereby
declared to constitute a nuisance.
Section 2. That
Chapter 50, Code of Ordinances of the City of Kansas City, Missouri, is hereby
amended by enacting new Sections 56-115 and 56-438, to read as follows:
Sec. 56-115. Maintenance
of manmade pools - residential.
Manmade pools
shall be in good repair, free from deterioration and/or holes or breaks.
Sec. 56-438. Maintenance
of manmade pools - non-residential.
Manmade pools
shall be in good repair, free from deterioration and/or holes or breaks.
