COMMITTEE SUBSTITUTE
FOR ORDINANCE NO. 090928
Reestimating grant revenues in
the amount of $3,101,752.00 and appropriating funds to the appropriate account
in connection with sewer and stormwater projects in the Central Industrial
District.
WHEREAS, the
City Council passed Ordinance No. 010590 on April 26, 2001, and Ordinance No. 020196
on March 14, 2002, approving the receipt of $6,783,600.00 for
Phases I and II of a Special Infrastructure Grant from the Environmental
Protection Agency (EPA) to finance a portion of costs for the
Westside Wastewater Treatment Plant, the Santa Fe Pump Station, and the Central
Industrial District Storm Sewer Phase I-West Branch, all projects in the Central
Industrial District (CID) area, and authorizing certain other actions related
thereto; and
WHEREAS, as these EPA grants require a 45% local match, a portion
of these grant revenues need to be reestimated in order to use them this fiscal
year for the Santa Fe Pump Station project; and
WHEREAS, the remaining
EPA grant funds will be reestimated and appropriated in a separate ordinance
for the Central Industrial District Storm Sewer Phase
I-West Branch project at a later date; NOW, THEREFORE,
BE IT ORDAINED
BY THE COUNCIL OF KANSAS CITY:
Section 1. That
the revenue in the following account of the Sewer Fund is hereby reestimated in
the following amount:

Section 2. That the sum of $3,101,752.00 is hereby
appropriated from the Unappropriated Fund Balance of the Sewer Fund, to the following account:

I hereby certify
that there is a balance, otherwise unencumbered, to the credit of the
appropriation to which the foregoing expenditure is to be charged, and a cash

incurred.
