ORDINANCE NO. 080767

 

Authorizing the City Manager to execute a contract with Gamble & Schlemeier, Ltd. for State lobbying services for a two year term beginning August 1, 2008, in the amount of $187,563.00 for the first year from previously appropriated funds, and $193,708.00 for the second year, contingent upon the appropriation of funds for the second year.

 

BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF KANSAS CITY:

 

Section 1. That the City Manager is authorized to execute an agreement with Gamble & Schlemeier, Ltd. for the period August 1, 2008 through July 31, 2010 in an amount not to exceed $187,563.00 for the first year to be paid from funds previously appropriated to Account No. 09-1000-011600-B, and in an amount not to exceed $193,708.00 for the second year contingent upon the appropriation of funds by the City Council. The agreement shall be in a form substantially as Exhibit 1 attached to and incorporated into this ordinance.

I hereby certify that there is a balance, otherwise unencumbered, to the credit of the appropriation to which the foregoing expenditure is to be charged, and a cash balance, otherwise unencumbered, in the treasury, to the credit of the fund from which payment is to be made, each sufficient to meet the obligation hereby incurred.
