ORDINANCE NO. 011019

Authorizing expenditure of $230,362.00 representing Kansas Citys local cost share for the Kansas City Flood Damage Reduction Feasibility Effort.

WHEREAS, the City Council passed Ordinance No. 001083 in August, 2000 approving an Agreement between The Department of the Army Corps of Engineers and local levee and drainage districts, including Kansas City, for the joint funding of the Kansas City Flood Damage Reduction Feasibility Effort; and

WHEREAS, Kansas Citys local share for 2001 is $230,362.00; NOW, THEREFORE,

BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF KANSAS CITY:

Section 1. That the Director of Water Services is hereby authorized expend up to the sum of $230,362.00 from funds previously appropriated to Account No. 02-861-080-7760-T Stormwater construction to satisfy the cost of Kansas Citys local cost share for the Kansas City Flood Damage Reduction Feasibility Effort.

I hereby certify that there is a balance, otherwise unencumbered, to the credit of the appropriation to which the foregoing expenditure is to be charged, and a cash balance, otherwise unencumbered, in the treasury, to the credit of the fund from which payment is to be made, each sufficient to meet the obligation hereby incurred.
