RESOLUTION NO. 200232

 

Amending the Country Club/Waldo Area Plan generally located at the southeast corner of W. 76th Street and State Line Road by changing the recommended land use from R-2.5 (Residential 2.5) to B3-2 (Community Business 2) in order to construct a drive-through restaurant of about 2,300 square feet and non-accessory parking on about 1.11 acres generally located at the southeast corner of W. 76th Street and State Line Road. (CD-CPC-2020-00003)

 

WHEREAS, on February 22, 2018, the City Council by Resolution No. 180106 adopted the Country Club/Waldo Area Plan as a guide for development and redevelopment of that area generally 55th Street on the north, the Paseo Boulevard and Troost Avenue on the east, 85th Street on the south, and State Line Road on the west; and

 

WHEREAS, after all interested persons were given an opportunity to present testimony, the City Plan Commission did on February 18, 2020, recommend approval of the proposed amendment to the Country Club/Waldo Area Plan; NOW, THEREFORE,

 

BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF KANSAS CITY:

 

Section A. That an update to the Country Club/Waldo Area Plan is hereby adopted as a guide for the future development and public investments for that area generally located at the southeast corner of 76th Street and State Line Road. A copy of the updated Country Club/Waldo Area Plan is attached hereto, in substantial form, and is hereby approved.

 

Section B. That the Country Club/Waldo Area Plan is consistent and complies with the FOCUS Kansas City Plan, adopted on October 30, 1997, by Committee Substitute for Resolution No. 971268, and is adopted as a supplement to the FOCUS Kansas City Plan.

 

Section C. That the Country Club/Waldo Area Plan Mills Area Plan hereinabove, all public notices have been given and hearings have been had as required by law.
