RESOLUTION NO. 120931

 

Honoring Floyd Manley on his retirement after 22 years of dedicated service to the Kansas City Credit Union.

 

WHEREAS, the Kansas City Credit Union was established in 1940 to serve the employees of the City of Kansas City, Missouri and their families; and

 

WHEREAS, in 1990, the Board of Directors for the Kansas City Credit Union hired Floyd Manley as President; and

WHEREAS, Floyd came to the Credit Union with over 25 years of management/ banking experience; and

 

WHEREAS, over the past 22 years, Floyd has taken a leadership role in expanding the services offered to members including checking accounts, real estate loans, ATM service, additional branch locations, and money market accounts; and

 

WHEREAS, Floyd has been a phenomenal example of an honest, hard-working employee who rarely took a day off; and

 

WHEREAS, Floyd will be greatly missed by his staff, the Board of Directors and the members of the Kansas City Credit Union upon his retirement; NOW, THEREFORE,

 

BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF KANSAS CITY:

 

That the Mayor and Council hereby honor Floyd Manley on his retirement after 22 years of dedicated service to the Kansas City Credit Union; and

 

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that this Resolution be spread upon the Minutes of the Council in testimony thereof and that a copy hereof be presented to Floyd Manley in token of the Mayor and Council’s respect and high regard and their best wishes for a long and happy retirement which he so richly deserves.
