COMMITTEE SUBSTITUTE FOR ORDINANCE NO. 960417

 

Amending Article VIII of the Administrative Code of Kansas City, Missouri relating to the Classification and Compensation Plan, by repealing Sections 2-1074, 2-1075, 2-1076, 2-1077, 2-1078, 2-1079, 2-1080 and 2-1081 and enacting in lieu thereof new sections of like number, relating to the same general subject matter.

 

BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF KANSAS CITY:

 

Section 1. That Article VIII of the Administrative Code of Kansas City, Missouri is hereby amended by repealing Sections 2-1074, 2-1075, 2-1076, 2-1077, 2-1078, 2-1079, 2-1080, and 2-1081, relating to the Classification and Compensation Plan; and in lieu thereof the following sections are hereby enacted, to-wit:

 

Section 2-1074. Adoption of pay plan for all classified and unclassified service.

 

The salary and wage schedules as contemplated by article V, sections 113, 114, 115 and 124, of the Charter for the respective classes of positions as arranged under appropriate services of the position classification plan and set forth in the following sections, with such amendments as may be made thereto from time to time by the City Council, are hereby adopted and shall constitute the pay plan for all positions in the classified service and all positions in the unclassified service except that the salary and wage schedule for the City Manager will be set by the City Council by separate ordinance.

The following schedule for elective positions in the City service is hereby adopted as the

standard annual salary schedule for the following positions in the City service as set out herein below:
