ORDINANCE NO. 900627

 

Authorizing the Director of Health to enter into an agreement on behalf of the City with Adolescent Resources Corporation whereby ARC will develop and conduct health services for school-aged children at school sites for a one-year period beginning October 1, 1990, for $250,375.00 in previously appropriated funds, providing for the expenses of administering that agreement and recognizing an emergency.

 

BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF KANSAS CITY:

 

Section 1. That the Director of Health is hereby authorized to execute an agreement on behalf of the City of Kansas City, Missouri, with Adolescent Resources Corporation (ARC), for a period of twelve (12) months beginning October 1, 1990, for an amount not to exceed $250,375.00 from funds previously appropriated in Account No. 1-50225-B by Ordinance No. 65379, whereby ARC will develop and conduct health services for children enrolled in grades K-12 at school sites. A copy of the contract is attached hereto and made a part hereof by reference.

 

Section 2. That the amount of $7,511.00 as specified in the contract, may be retained by the Health Department to partially offset the costs of administering this agreement and may be used in such manner and for such purpose as determined by the Director of Health.

 

Section 3. That this ordinance, providing for the expenditure of funds in connection with the preservation of public health, is recognized as an emergency measure within the provisions of Article II, Section 15, of the Charter of Kansas City, Missouri, and shall take effect immediately upon passage.

I hereby certify that there is a balance, otherwise unencumbered, to the credit of the appropriation to which the foregoing expenditure is to be charged, and a cash balance, otherwise unencumbered, in the treasury, to the credit of the fund from which payment is to be made, each sufficient to meet the obligation hereby incurred.
