ORDINANCE NO. 200336

 

Authorizing the City Manager to renew a Limited Term Contract in the amount of $48,000.00 to provide administrative support needed to maintain economic development projects and outreach.

 

WHEREAS, Committee Substitute for Ordinance No. 200228, as Amended, requires the City Council to approve all Limited Term Contracts; and

 

WHEREAS, on April 16, 2020, the Position Review Committee reviewed and recommended approval and renewal of this Limited Term Contract; and

 

WHEREAS, this limited term contract position is critical to the management of economic development projects; and

 

WHEREAS, the failure to continue this limited term contract position would result in the loss of administrative support needed to maintain and expand economic development projects and outreach; NOW, THEREFORE,

 

BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF KANSAS CITY:

Section 1. That the City Manager is authorized to execute a Limited Term Contract in the amount of $48,000.00 from funds previously appropriated in Account No. 21- 2215-101700-A.

I hereby certify that there is a balance, otherwise unencumbered, to the credit of the appropriation to which the foregoing expenditure is to be charged, and a cash balance, otherwise unencumbered, in the treasury, to the credit of the fund from which payment is to be made, each sufficient to meet the obligation hereby incurred.
