ORDINANCE NO. 050581

 

Accepting and approving a $66,500.00 contract with the Missouri Department of Health and Senior Services to conduct Perinatal Hepatitis B case management and surveillance activities in Kansas City, Missouri; estimating revenues and appropriating funds in the Governmental Grants Fund.

 

BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF KANSAS CITY:

 

Section 1. That a contract between the City of Kansas City, Missouri, acting through its Director of Health, and the Missouri Department of Health and Senior Services, acting through its Director of Administration, whereby the Missouri Department of Health and Senior Services will provide funding for increased Hepatitis B case finding and follow-up for infected mothers and their infants for the period of March 1, 2005 through December 31, 2006, for an amount not to exceed $66,500.00 is hereby accepted and approved. A copy of the agreement, in substantial form, is attached hereto and made a part hereof by reference.

 

Section 2. That the revenue in the following account of the Governmental Grants Fund, No. 248, is hereby estimated in the following amount:

 

06-2480-500001-471980 06 Perinatal Hepatitis B $41,249.00

 

Section 3. That $41,249.00 is hereby appropriated from the Unappropriated Fund Balance of the Governmental Grants fund to the following accounts:

 

06-2480-505422-A Perinatal Hepatitis B $37,467.00

06-2480-505422-B Perinatal Hepatitis B 140.00

06-2480-505422-C Perinatal Hepatitis B 3,642.00

TOTAL $41,249.00

 

Section 4. That the Director of Health is hereby designated as requisitioning authority for Account No. 06-2480-505422.

I hereby certify that there is a balance, otherwise unencumbered, to the credit of the appropriation to which the foregoing expenditure is to be charged, and a cash balance, otherwise unencumbered, in the treasury, to the credit of the fund from which payment is to be made, each sufficient to meet the obligation hereby incurred.
