ORDINANCE NO. 051207

 

Authorizing a $100,000.00 contract with Blue Hills Community Services for targeted minor home repair activities.

WHEREAS, the 2005 Consolidated Action Plan allocated $1,600,000.00 for the Minor Home Repair Housing Program; and

WHEREAS, Blue Hills Community Services provides a minor home repair program; and

WHEREAS, the City Council desires $100,000.00 of the allocated amount to be funded to Blue Hills Community Services; NOW, THEREFORE,

BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF KANSAS CITY:

Section 1. That the Director of City Development, on behalf of the City, is hereby authorized to enter into and execute a contract with Blue Hills Community Services in the amount of $100,000.00 for targeted minor home repair activities. A copy of the contract, in substantial form, is filed in the office of the Director of City Development.

Section 2. That the Director of City Development is hereby authorized to expend the following amount from funds previously appropriated to the following account in the Community Development Block Grant Fund 31st Year, No. 2660:

06-2660-645300-B Community Development Block Grant $100,000.00

I hereby certify that there is a balance, otherwise unencumbered, to the credit of the appropriation to which the foregoing expenditure is to be charged, and a cash balance, otherwise unencumbered, in the treasury the credit of the fund from which payment is to be made, each sufficient to meet the obligation hereby incurred.
