ORDINANCE NO. 021370

Approving and authorizing execution of a contract in the amount of $124,950.00 with the Kansas City Area Transportation Authority for the City to provide the Authority with various legal services in defense of tort lawsuits during the period from January 1, 2003 through December 31, 2003.

BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF KANSAS CITY:

Section 1. That the contract, a copy of which is attached hereto and incorporated herein by reference, providing for the City, through the City Attorney, to provide legal services to the Kansas City Area Transportation Authority in defense of lawsuits and claims for the period of January 1, 2003 through December 31, 2003, and providing that the Kansas City Area Transportation Authority pay the City $124,950.00 for those services is hereby approved.

Section 2. That the City Attorney is hereby authorized to execute the attached contract on behalf of the City.
