COMMITTEE SUBSTITUTE FOR ORDINANCE NO. 900396

 

Approving a $16,900.00 contract with Bruce R. Watkins Cultural Heritage Center for exhibits and performances associated with black history from the Neighborhood Tourist Development Fund (Fifth Council District); and repealing Ordinance No. 900352.

 

BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF KANSAS CITY:

 

Section 1. That the Director of Neighborhood and Community Services is authorized to execute a $16,900.00 contract with Bruce R. Watkins Cultural Heritage Center for exhibits and performances associated with celebrating black history from funds previously appropriated to Activity 35-95316B, (Fifth Council District) which contract is hereby approved in substantial form as that attached hereto.

 

Section 2. That Ordinance No. 900352 is repealed.

 

Section 3. That it is the intent of the Council to make funding available to the Mid Southeast Communities Association upon submission of a proposal for a neighborhood tourist event or project.

I hereby certify that there is a balance, otherwise unencumbered, to the credit of the appropriation to which the foregoing expenditure is to be charged, and a cash balance, otherwise unencumbered, in the treasury, to the credit of the fund from which payment is to be made, each sufficient to meet the obligation hereby incurred.
