ORDINANCE NO. 170927

 

Authorizing an amendment to an agreement with the City of Lee’s Summit, Missouri, for approximately $38,921.00 for the Lee’s Summit Road Improvements project, from Douglas Road to Gregory Boulevard; and recognizing this ordinance as having an accelerated effective date.

 

WHEREAS, Ordinance No. 150949 authorized a $2,745,000.00 agreement with the City of Lee’s Summit, Missouri, for construction phase services for Project No. 89008176 - Lee’s Summit Road Improvements; NOW, THEREFORE,

 

BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF KANSAS CITY:

 

Section 1. That the Director Public Works is hereby authorized to execute a $38,921.00 Amendment No. 1 to an agreement with the City of Lee’s Summit, Missouri, for additional construction phase engineering services for Project No. 89008176 – Lee’s Summit Road Improvements, from funds previously appropriated to Account No. 18-3090-898501-611060-89008176. A copy of the amendment is on file in the Public Works Department and is incorporated herein by reference.

 

Section 2. That this ordinance, relating to the design, repair, maintenance or construction of a public improvement, is recognized as an ordinance with an accelerated effective date as provided by Section 503(a)(3)(D) of the City Charter and shall take effect in accordance with Section 503, City Charter.

I hereby certify that there is a balance, otherwise unencumbered, to the credit of the appropriation to which the foregoing expenditure is to be charged, and a cash balance, otherwise unencumbered, in the treasury, to the credit of the fund from which payment is to be made, each sufficient to meet the obligation hereby incurred.
