ORDINANCE NO. 900680

Authorizing the Tenth Supplement in the amount of $10,000.00 to Kansas City's Agreement No. 830014 with Boyd, Brown, Stude and Cambern, Chartered, for engineering services in connection with the Broadway to West Pennway Viaduct for certain design changes, geotechnical services and additional inspections.

BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF KANSAS CITY:

Section 1. That the Director of Public Works is hereby authorized to enter into and execute on behalf of Kansas City a Tenth Supplement to Agreement 830014 with Boyd, Brown, Stude and Cambern, Chartered, for engineering services in connection with the Broadway to West Pennway Viaduct over the Kansas City Terminal tracks to:

1. Make the necessary design changes to modify portions of the structure to avoid utility conflicts or to design

utility relocations.

2. Provide additional inspections to verify that the foundations for bridge piers were seated in suitable

material.

3. Provide any geotechnical services which may be required.

all in Kansas City, Missouri, Council District No. 2, Project No. 5313. The said agreement shall be essentially in the form which is attached hereto and incorporated herein by reference.

Section 2. That the Director of Public Works is hereby authorized to expend the sum of $10,000.00 from funds heretofore appropriated to Account No. 305-00024-K as and for consideration in the aforesaid Agreement 830014.

I hereby certify that there is a balance, otherwise unencumbered, to the credit of the appropriation to which the foregoing expenditure is to be charged, and a cash balance, otherwise unencumbered, in the treasury, to the credit of the fund from which payment is to be made, each sufficient to meet the obligation hereby incurred.
