ORDINANCE NO. 120474

 

Approving the sale of property at 4039 Oakley Avenue, 3827 E. 9th Terrace, 3829 E. 9th Terrace, and 3831 E. 9th Terrace; authorizing the Director of General Services to execute deeds; and directing the City Clerk to file certain documents with the appropriate offices.

WHEREAS, Ordinance No. 120196 passed March 8, 2012, declared the property in excess to the City’s needs for public use and authorized the sale by competitive bids; and

WHEREAS, the City by that competitive bid process, received a bid of $800.00 for 4039 Oakley Avenue; and

WHEREAS, the City by that competitive bid process, received a bid of $575.00 for the three lots on E. 9th Terrace; NOW, THEREFORE,

  BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF KANSAS CITY:

  Section 1. That the Council hereby accepts both bids for said property in the total amount of $1,375.00 and approves the sale of the properties and hereby authorizes the Director of General Services to execute Special Warranty Deeds conveying each property. The legal description of the property is described as:

4039 Oakley Ave, Vineyard Estates, Lot 14, Block 6, a subdivision in Kansas City, Jackson County, Missouri

 

Sale 2:

Section 2. That the City Clerk is hereby directed to record a copy of this ordinance in the office of the Recorder of Deeds for Jackson County, at Kansas City, Missouri, as evidence of the sale of the herein described property by the City.
