ORDINANCE NO. 050209

 

Authorizing execution of a $712,944.85 contract with the Planned Industrial Expansion Authority for purchase of property in the Troost Corridor, from 22nd to 47th Streets.

 

BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF KANSAS CITY:

 

Section 1. That the Director of the Department of City Development is hereby authorized to execute a contract, on behalf of the City, with the Planned Industrial Expansion Authority of Kansas City, Missouri, in an amount not to exceed $712,944.85, to provide funds for purchase of property in the Troost Corridor, to be paid from funds previously appropriated to Account No. 04-3090-647320-B, Troost Property Acquisition. A copy of the contract, in substantial form, is attached hereto and is herby approved.

I hereby certify that there is a balance, otherwise unencumbered, to the credit of the appropriation to which the foregoing expenditure is to be charged, and a cash balance, otherwise unencumbered, in the treasury, to the credit of the fund from which payment is to be made, each sufficient to meet the obligation hereby incurred.
