ORDINANCE NO. 090978
Authorizing the Director of
General Services to execute a lease agreement with Jazz District Condominium
Association, Inc., for a term of twenty years for the purpose of installing and
maintaining a sign at 1724 Vine Street to identify the 18th and Vine Historic
District.
BE IT ORDAINED
BY THE COUNCIL OF KANSAS CITY:
Section 1. That the Director of General Services is authorized to
execute a lease agreement with Jazz District Condominium Association, Inc., for
a term of twenty years for the purpose of installing and maintaining a roof
sign at 1724 Vine Street to identify the 18th and Vine Historic District for
the amount of $10.00 annually and a one-time payment of up to $5,000.00 to pay
for Jazz District Condominium Association’s legal fees incurred for entering
into the lease payable from Account No. 10-3090-648843-890D0233,
18th and Vine Gateway Signage account.

I hereby certify that
there is a balance, otherwise unencumbered, to the credit of the appropriation
to which the foregoing expenditure is to be charged, and a cash balance,
otherwise unencumbered, in the treasury, to the credit of the fund from which
payment is to be made, each sufficient to meet the obligation hereby incurred.
