RESOLUTION NO. 061057
Declaring
the week of October 2 through 6, 2006, Customer Service Week in the City of
Kansas City, Missouri.
WHEREAS, all employees of the City of Kansas City, Missouri
are dedicating to making our City a great place to live and work, for both
those who serve Kansas Citians directly and those who support the work of our
frontline employees; and
WHEREAS, our employees are also residents of Kansas City, and
the level of services we provide are also the services we and our families,
friends and neighbors receive; and
WHEREAS, when employees interactions with citizens and
co-workers are professional and courteous, benefits accrue to our City, our
employees and individual citizens; and
WHEREAS, City employees prove their value to the City and its
citizens by performing the duties with patience, care and kindness; and
WHEREAS, the City of Kansas City, Missouri, in support of its
policy of excellence in public service, is privileged to have employees who are
committed to the betterment of the communities in which they live; NOW,
THEREFORE,
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF KANSAS CITY:
That the Mayor and Council hereby recognize October 2 through
6, 2006, as Customer Service Week; and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that this Resolution be spread upon
the Minutes of the Council in testimony thereof and that a copy hereof be
presented to Debra Connor and Rebecca Kinder with the Mayor and Council urging all
employees to take time to thank their customers for the privilege of serving
them and also to recognize the efforts of all City employees who work
diligently to satisfy and inform our diverse citizenry.
