ORDINANCE NO. 910206

 

Authorizing $147,559.00 for payment of relocation of water main facilities in connection with the Aviation Department construction of Runway 1R/19L at Kansas City International Airport.

WHEREAS, Kansas City had water facilities located under the Runway 1R/19L construction site at the KCI Airport; and

 

WHEREAS, the Aviation Department entered into a contract in September 1989 for said Runway construction and the relocation of water facilities; and

 

WHEREAS, that construction work is now complete and all expenses of the project paid; and

 

WHEREAS, the Aviation Department and the Water Department had executed an agreement providing that the Water Department would reimburse the Aviation Department for the relocation of said water facilities; NOW, THEREFORE,

 

BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF KANSAS CITY:

 

Section 1. That the Director of Water and Pollution Control is hereby authorized to expend up to the sum of $147,559.00 from funds previously appropriated to Account No. 801-80916-T to provide for the reimbursement to the Aviation Department for the relocation of said water facilities at KCI Airport.

I hereby certify that there is a balance, otherwise unencumbered, to the credit of the appropriation to which the foregoing expenditure is to be charged, and a cash balance, otherwise unencumbered, in the treasury, to the credit of the fund from which payment is to be made, each sufficient to meet the obligation hereby incurred.
