ORDINANCE NO. 970914

Authorizing a cooperative agreement with Jackson County for provision of consolidated property tax collection services.

WHEREAS, the City and Jackson County desire to provide consolidated billing and collection for property taxes both within the City and the County; NOW, THEREFORE,

BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF KANSAS CITY:

Section 1. That the Director of Finance is authorized to execute on behalf of the City a cooperative agreement with Jackson County for the purpose of providing consolidated property tax billing and collection services for properties both with the City and the County. The cooperative agreement is approved in substantial form as that attached to the original of this ordinance.

Section 2. That the City Clerk is directed to insure the filing of the cooperative agreement with the Director of Records of the County and the Secretary of State.
