ORDINANCE NO. 100511

 

Authorizing the City Manager to execute a contract with Gamble & Schlemeier, Ltd., for State lobbying services for the period August 1, 2010 through July 31, 2011, in the amount of $193,708.00.

 

BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF KANSAS CITY:

 

Section 1. That the City Manager is authorized to execute an agreement for State lobbying services, assistance in the preparation of proposals for the 2011 Session of the Missouri General Assembly and the review of State legislation and grant programs with Gamble & Schlemeier, Ltd., for the period August 1, 2010 through July 31, 2011 in an amount not to exceed $193,708.00. A copy of the contract is attached.

 

Section 2. That the City Manager is authorized to expend the sum of $193,708.00 from funds previously appropriated to Account No. 11-1000-011600-619260.

I hereby certify that there is a balance, otherwise unencumbered, to the credit of the appropriation to which the foregoing expenditure is to be charged, and a cash balance, otherwise unencumbered, in the treasury, to the credit of the fund from which payment is to be made, each sufficient to meet the obligation hereby incurred.
