ORDINANCE NO. 900656

Authorizing an agreement in the amount of $84,214.00 with Schlup, Becker & Brennan, P.A. for engineering services in connection with design of storm drainage improvements for the Marlborough Area.

BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF KANSAS CITY:

Section 1. That the Director of Public Works is hereby authorized to enter into and execute on behalf of Kansas City, an agreement with Schlup, Becker & Brennan, P.A. for engineering services in connection with the storm drainage improvements in the Marlborough Area at the following locations: (1) area 3 in the vicinity of 86th and Wayne and (2) area 10 in the vicinity of 79th and Euclid, to be completed in two phases:

Phase A: Engineering Design Phase B: Construction Observation

in Kansas City, Missouri, Council Districts 5 and 6, Project No. 3323. The said agreement shall be essentially in the form which is attached thereto and incorporated herein by reference.

Section 2. That the Director of Public Works is hereby authorized to expend the sum of $84,214.00 from funds heretofore appropriated to Account Nos:

9-40515-T Storm Sewer Construction, Council District 5 $21,000.00

9-40516-T Storm Sewer Construction, Council District 6 63,214.00

Total $84,214.00

as and for consideration in the aforesaid agreement. _______________________________________________________

I hereby certify that there is a balance, otherwise unencumbered, to the credit of the appropriation to which the foregoing expenditure is to be charged, and a cash balance, otherwise unencumbered, in the treasury, to the credit of the fund from which payment is to be made, each sufficient to meet the obligation hereby incurred.
