ORDINANCE NO. 051017

 

Accepting a Missouri Special Warranty Deed from PAC Holding, Inc., conveying to the City of Kansas City, Missouri, certain property in Jackson County, Missouri, all for public use as part of the Bartle Hall expansion and directing the City Clerk to file the same.

 

BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF KANSAS CITY:

 

Section 1. That the Deed conveying property to the City of Kansas City, Missouri, for public purposes as part of the Bartle Hall Expansion and recorded as Instrument No. 2005K0047789 in the office of the Records Department of Jackson County, Missouri, is hereby accepted. The property is legally described as follows:

 

Tract A: All that part of Block 7, J. H. MCGEE'S ADDITION, a subdivision in Kansas City, Jackson County, Missouri, according to the recorded plat thereof, being more particularly described as follows: Beginning at a point on the West line of said Block 7, 44.25 feet North of the Southwest corner thereof; thence North along said West line, being also the East right-of-way line of Broadway, as now established, a distance of 102.42 feet to a point, 146.67 feet North of the said Southwest corner; thence Easterly along a straight line, 331.38 feet to a point on the East line of said Block 7, 149.92 feet North of the Southeast corner thereof; thence South along said East line, being also the West right-of-way line of Central Street, as now established, a distance of 126.53 feet; thence the following courses and distances along the Northerly right-of-way line of 16th Street, as now established by Kansas City, Missouri, Ordinance No. 64379 and recorded in Book 1912, at Page 329 with the Jackson County Recorder of Deeds; thence Southerly, Southwesterly and Westerly along a curve to the right, tangent to the last described course, having a radius of 15 feet and a central angle of 96 45' 01", an arc distance of 25.33 feet; thence Northwesterly, tangent to the last described curve, 152.44 feet to a point on the West line of Lot 61 of said Block 7; thence Northwesterly, deflecting 5 56' 58" to the right, from the last described course, 21.53 feet to a point on the East line of Lot 94 of said Block 7; thence Westerly, deflecting 12 07' 39" to the left from the last described course, 127.29 feet; thence Westerly, Northwesterly and Northerly along a curve to the right, tangent to the last described course, having a radius of 15 feet and a central angle of 90, an arc distance of 23.56 feet to the point of beginning.

 

Tract B: All of Lots 46 through 51, part of Lot 52, all of vacated alley lying East and adjoining said Lots 46 through 52, part of Lot 32, all of Lots 33 through 38 and part of Lot 39, all in Block 4, J. H. MCGEE'S ADDITION, a subdivision in Kansas City, Jackson County, Missouri, according to the recorded plat thereof, and all more particularly described as follows: Beginning at the Northwest corner of said Lot 46; thence South 2 02' 20" West along the West line of said Lots 46 through 52, being also the East right-of-way line of Central Street, as now established, 335.15 feet; thence Southerly, Southeasterly and Easterly, along said East right-of-way line and along a curve to the left, tangent to the last described course, having a radius of 15 feet and a central angle of 89 25' 40", an arc distance of 23.41 feet to a point on the South line of said Lot 52 being also to a point on the North right-of-way line of 16th Street, as now established; thence South 87 23' 20" East along said North right-of-way line and along the South line of said Lot 52, and its prolongation East and along the South line of said Lot 32, 313.51 feet; thence Easterly, Northeasterly and Northerly along said North right-of-way line, and a curve to the left, tangent to the last described course, having a radius of 15 feet and a central angle of 90 31' 09", an arc distance of 23.70 feet to a point on the East line of said Lot 32, being also a point on the West right-of-way line of Wyandotte Street, as now established; thence North 2 05' 31" East along said West right-of-way line and along the East line of said Lots 32 through 39, 374.86 feet to a point on the Southerly right-of-way line of U.S. Interstate Route No. 35; thence South 77 05' 22" West along said Southerly right-of-way line, 149.48 feet to a point on the North line of said Lot 38; thence North 87 23' 20" West along said Southerly right-of-way line and along the North line of said Lot 38 and its prolongation West and along the North line of said Lot 46, 199.43 feet to the point of beginning.

 

Tract C: All of Lots 19 through 26 inclusive and that part of Lots 10 through 18 inclusive and that part of Lot 27, Block 2, J. H. MCGEE'S ADDITION, a subdivision in Kansas City, Jackson County, Missouri, and all that part of the vacated alley lying within said Block 2, all being more particularly described as follows: Beginning at the point of intersection of the West right-of-way line of Baltimore Avenue with the South right-of-way line of U.S. Interstate Highway Route No. 35, as said avenue and highway are now established; thence South 2 06' 31" West along the West right-of-way line of said Baltimore Avenue, a distance of 415.37 feet; thence Southerly, Southwesterly and Westerly along a curve to the right, tangent to the last described course, having a radius of 15 feet and a central angle of 90 30' 16", an arc distance of 23.69 feet to a point on the North right-of-way line of 16th Street; thence North 87 23' 20" West along said North right-of-way, a distance of 265.19 feet to a point on the West line of said Lot 27, being also a point on the East right-of-way line of Wyandotte Street, as now established; thence North 2 05' 31" East along the West line of said Lot 27 the 19 inclusive and along said East right-of-way line, a distance of 430.50 feet to the Northwest corner of said Lot 19, being also a point on the South right-of-way line of said U.S. Interstate Highway Route No. 35; thence South 87 23' 20" East along the North line of Lot 19 and its Easterly prolongation and along the North line of said Lot 18 and along said South right-of-way line, a distance of 280.45 feet to the point of beginning.

 

Less and except the following described parcel of land:

 

All of Lots 19 through 23, inclusive, together with the North 36.5 feet of Lot 24, all in Block 2, J. H. MCGEE'S ADDITION, a subdivision in Kansas City, Jackson County, Missouri, being more particularly described as follows: Beginning at the Northwest corner of said Lot 19, being also the point of intersection of the East right-of-way line of said Wyandotte Street with the South right-of-way line of said U.S. Interstate Highway Route 35; thence South 87 23' 30" East along the North line of said Lot 19 and along the South right-of-way line, a distance of 141.97 feet (142 feet plat) to the Northeast corner of said Lot 19; thence South 2 06' 03" West along the East line of said Lots 19 through 24, a distance of 280 feet to the Southeast corner of the North 36.5 feet of said Lot 24; thence North 88 11' 46" West along the South line of the North 36.5 feet of said Lot 24, a distance of 141.92 feet (142 feet plat) to the Southwest corner of the North 36.5 feet of said Lot 24; thence North 2 05' 31" East along the West line of said Lot 24 through 19 inclusive and along East right-of-way of said Wyandotte Street, a distance of 280 feet to the point of beginning.

 

Section 2. That the City Clerk is hereby directed to record a copy of this ordinance in the office of the Department of Records for Jackson County, Missouri, as evidence of the acceptance of the herein described property by the City for public use purposes.
