ORDINANCE NO. 900301

Authorizing the Director of City Development to execute a contract on behalf of the City with the Chamber of Commerce of Greater Kansas City in the amount of $47,000.00 to provide commercial and industrial attraction and marketing.

BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF KANSAS CITY:

Section 1. That the Director of City Development is hereby authorized to enter into and execute on behalf of Kansas City, Missouri, a contract with the Chamber of Commerce of Greater Kansas City in the amount of $47,000.00 to provide commercial and industrial attraction and marketing including aviation development and marketing services through the Kansas City Area Development Council of the Chamber of Commerce of Greater Kansas City. A copy of said contract in substantial form is attached hereto and is incorporated herein by reference.

Section 2. That the Director of City Development is hereby authorized to expend the sum of $47,000.00 from funds heretofore appropriated to Account Nos. 1-15510-B-910 ($23,500.00) and 819-90000-B-104 ($23,500.00) for work described in the aforesaid contract.

I hereby certify that there is a balance, otherwise unencumbered, to the credit of the appropriation to which the foregoing expenditure, is to be charged, and a cash balance, otherwise unencumbered, in the treasury to the credit of the fund from which payment is to be made, each sufficient to meet the obligation hereby incurred.
