ORDINANCE NO. 180990

 

Accepting and approving a one-year $199,752.00 grant from the Missouri Department of Health and Senior Services that provides funding for the Maternal Child Health Services program.

 

BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF KANSAS CITY:

 

Section 1. That a contract between the City of Kansas City, Missouri, acting through its Director of Health, and the Missouri Department of Health and Senior Services, whereby the Missouri Department of Health and Senior Services will provide funding for programs that address women and children’s wellness issues such as injury prevention, based on availability of funds for the period beginning October 1, 2018 through September 30, 2019, for an amount not to exceed $199,752.00, is hereby accepted and approved. A copy of the contract, in substantial form, is on file with the Director of Health.

 

Section 2. That the Director of Health is hereby authorized to expend the sum of $101,065.00 from funds appropriated to Account No. 19-2480-505803-G50MCH19 for the aforesaid contract.

I hereby certify that there is a balance, otherwise unencumbered, to the credit of the appropriation to which the foregoing expenditure is to be charged, and a cash balance, otherwise unencumbered, in the treasury, to the credit of the fund from which payment is to be made, each sufficient to meet the obligation hereby incurred.
