ORDINANCE NO. 050808

Authorizing the execution of an Off-Airport Rental Car Agreement with Flacks Enterprises, LTD., d/b/a Thrifty Car Rental at Kansas City International Airport.

BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF KANSAS CITY:

Section 1. That the Director of Aviation is hereby authorized to execute an Off-Airport Rental Car Agreement with Flacks Enterprises, LTD., d/b/a Thrifty Car Rental, for the right to transport its rental car customers between the Kansas City International Airport and their off-airport location for a term beginning on May 1, 2005 and continuing until the Date of Beneficial Occupancy of the On-Airport centralized rental car facility, or until April 30, 2007, whichever is earlier. A copy of the contract is on file in the office of the City Clerk.

Section 2. That additional revenue in the sum of $270,000.00 is hereby estimated in the following account of the KCI Airports Fund, No. 8300:

06-8300-620000-468630 Rental Car Concession Fees $270,000.00

I hereby certify that there is a balance, otherwise unencumbered, to the credit of the appropriation to which the foregoing expenditure is to be charged, and a cash balance, otherwise unencumbered, in the treasury, to the credit of the fund from which payment is to be made, each sufficient to meet the obligation hereby incurred.
