RESOLUTION NO. 080497

 

Declaring certain real property surplus to the Citys needs; and authorizing the Director of General Services to offer for sale the property located at 4304 East 87th Street, Jackson County, Missouri.

 

WHEREAS, all City Departments have been notified that this property is not needed by the City and no interest has been expressed in retaining the land for future public use; NOW, THEREFORE;

 

BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF KANSAS CITY:

That the Director of General Services is hereby authorized to offer for sale, the vacant lot located at 4304 East 87th Street, said property being more particularly described as follows:

 

The following Tract of land as described in Missouri Warranty Deed, Document Number B377293, Filed on May 4, 1961, at the Jackson County, Recorder of Deeds Office: All that part of the West 1/2 of the West 1/2 of the Northwest 1/4 of Section 23, Township 48 North, Range 33 West, in Kansas City, Jackson County, Missouri, described as follows: Beginning at a point where the East line of said West 1/2 of the West 1/2 of the Northwest 1/4 intersects the North line of the County Highway known as 87th Street as the same was conveyed to Jackson County, Missouri, by Estate Realty Company by instrument recorded in Book B-2942 at Page 454, under Recorders Document No. A-427850, said point being 453.2 feet North of the Southeast corner of said West 1/2 of West 1/2 of Northwest 1/4; thence North 210.3 feet; thence West 341.8 feet to a point 319.2 feet East of the West line and 663.5 feet North of the South line of said Northwest 1/4; thence South 255.0 feet to the North line of said 87th Street; thence Easterly along the North line of said 87th Street 351.3 feet to the point of beginning. Subject to the covenants, easements, restrictions and reservations now of record.

 

Less and except the following Tract of land as described in Warranty Deed, Recorded as Document Number K108752 in Book K237 at Page 1118, at the Jackson County, Missouri Recorder of Deeds Office, as follows: All that part of the West Half (W1/2) of the West Half (W1/2) of the Northwest Quarter (NW1/4) of Section 23, Township 48, Range 33 in Kansas City, Jackson County, Missouri, described as follows: Commencing at a point on the South line of said 1/2 1/2 1/4 section, 319.2 feet East of the Southwest corner thereof; thence North 22140 East, parallel with the West line of said 1/2 1/2 1/4 section, 517.44 feet to the point of beginning of the tract of land to be herein described; thence continuing North 22140 East along the last described line, 146.06 feet; thence South 870227 East, parallel with the South line of said 1/2 1/2 1/4 section, 96.50 feet; thence South 302600 West, 67.14 feet; thence Southwesterly along a curve to the right from the last described course as a tangent, having a radius of 342.68 feet, a distance of 108.05 feet to the point of beginning.

 

The above described produces an area of 79,383 Square Feet (1.82 Acres), more or less.

 

Provided such sale be subject to retaining easements for water, sanitary.

storm and utility facilities.
