ORDINANCE NO. 030807
Repealing
Ordinance No. 030544; amending Ordinance No. 001590 by repealing Section 2 thereof
and enacting in its place a new section, revising the legal description for
Project Area 3C of the Parvin Road Corridor Tax Increment Financing Plan.
WHEREAS,
the City Council of Kansas City, Missouri by Ordinance No. 54556, passed on
November 24, 1982, and thereafter repealed and amended in certain respects by
Committee Substitute to Ordinance No. 911076, as amended, passed on August 29,
1991, created the Tax Increment Financing Commission of Kansas City, Missouri
(the "Commission"); and
WHEREAS,
on December 14, 2000, the Council passed Ordinance No. 001638, which approved
the Parvin Road Corridor Tax Increment Financing Plan and designated the
Redevelopment Area as an economic development area (the Redevelopment Plan);
and
WHEREAS,
the Redevelopment Plan and ordinances contemplate the implementation of the
Redevelopment Plan through four separate Redevelopment Project Areas and the
adoption of tax increment financing in each of the areas selected for such
Redevelopment Projects; and
WHEREAS,
on December 14, 2000, the Council passed Ordinance No. 001590 approving Project
Area 3C, the legal description of which requires revision; and
WHEREAS,
Ordinance No. 030544 erroneously amended Ordinance No. 001587, instead of
Ordinance NO. 001590; NOW, THEREFORE,
BE
IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF KANSAS CITY:
Section
1. That Ordinance No. 030544 is hereby repealed.
Section
2. That Ordinance No. 001590 is hereby amended by repealing Section 2 and
enacting a new Section 2 to read as follows:
Section 2. The area selected for Parvin Road
Corridor Redevelopment Project Area 3C is legally described as follows:
All that part of Sections 2 and 3, Township 50,
Range 32, Kansas City, Clay County, Missouri, being described as follows; Commencing
at the Southeast corner of the Southwest Quarter of said Section 3; thence
North 89o5416 West, along the South line of said Southwest
Quarter, 806.82 feet; thence North 0o5234 East, 651.44 feet to the
True Point of Beginning of the Tract to be herein described; thence Continuing
North 0o5234 East, 2164.55 feet; thence South 89o1704
East, 4542.93 feet; thence South 0o1904 West, 2094.72 feet; thence
South 89o3059 East, 419.44 feet; thence South 0o0000
East, 51.40 feet; thence North 89o3059 West, 4983.66 feet to the
True Point of Beginning. Containing 225.79 acres,

Project), effective December 14, 2000 (the Original Effective Date).
The actions of all City officials and the Tax Increment Financing Commission of
Kansas City, Missouri, in allocating, paying, depositing, receiving and/or
disbursing payments in lieu of taxes or economic activity taxes for
Redevelopment Project Area 3C, which have been approved after the Original Effective
Date, but prior to the effective date of this ordinance, are hereby ratified
and approved.
