ORDINANCE NO. 910694

Approving a contract for legal services with Smith, Gill, Fisher & Butts in the amount of $300,000.00 for continued representation of the City's interest concerning the Pershing Square Redevelopment Corporation Project in Union Station.

BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF KANSAS CITY:

Section 1. That a contract, a copy of which is attached hereto and incorporated herein by reference, with the law firm of Smith, Gill, Fisher & Butts in the amount of $300,000.00 for continued legal services representing the City's interest in the matter of the Pershing Square Redevelopment Project is hereby approved and the City Attorney is hereby authorized to execute same on behalf of the City and to encumber and expend for such contract from funds heretofore appropriated to Account No. 1-13110-B.

I hereby certify that there is a balance, otherwise unencumbered, to the credit of the appropriation to which the foregoing expenditure is to be charged, and a cash balance, otherwise unencumbered, in the treasury, to the credit of the fund from which payment is to be made, each sufficient to meet the obligation hereby incurred.
