ORDINANCE NO. 950717

Approving a contract with Legal Aid of Western Missouri not to exceed $462,614.00 from funds heretofore appropriated in the 1995-1996 City Budget to provide legal representation to indigent residents of Kansas City, Missouri.

BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF KANSAS CITY:

Section 1. That a contract entered into by the Director of Neighborhood and Community Services on behalf of the City with Legal Aid of Western Missouri is hereby approved in an amount not to exceed $462,614.00 from funds heretofore appropriated in the 1995-1996 City Budget to Account Number 96-100-057-2230-B to provide legal representation to indigent residents of Kansas City, Missouri.

I hereby certify that there is a balance, otherwise unencumbered, to the credit of the appropriation to which the foregoing expenditure is to be charged, and a cash balance, otherwise unencumbered, in the treasury, to the credit of the fund from which payment is to be made, each sufficient to meet the obligation hereby incurred.
