ORDINANCE NO. 010435

 

Accepting and approving a one year $58,650.00 contract and contract amendment with the Missouri Department of Natural Resources to provide funding for particulate matter 2.5 ambient air monitoring program and extending the time period for a particulate matter 2.5 ambient air monitoring program; estimating revenue in the amount of $24,178.00 in the Governmental Grants Fund; reducing revenue in the amount of $2,601.00 in the Governmental Grants Fund; and appropriating $21,577.00 to the PM 2.5 Monitoring Project accounts of the Governmental Grants Fund.

 

BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF KANSAS CITY:

 

Section 1. That a contract amendment between the City of Kansas City, Missouri, acting through its Director of Health, and the Missouri Department of Natural Resources, acting through its Director of Administration, whereby the State will extend the time period for a particulate matter 2.5 ambient air monitoring program for the period of July 1, 1998 to February 28, 2001, is hereby accepted and approved. A copy of the contract amendment, in substantial form, is attached hereto and made a part hereof by reference.

 

Section 2. That a contract between the City of Kansas City, Missouri, acting through its Director of Health, and the Missouri Department of Natural Resources, acting through its Director of Administration, whereby the State will providing funding for a particulate matter 2.5 ambient air monitoring program for the period of January 1, 2001 to December 31, 2001, for an amount not to exceed $58,650.00, is hereby accepted and approved. A copy of the contract, in substantial form, is attached hereto and made a part hereof by reference.

 

Section 3. That the revenue in the following account of the Governmental Grants Fund is hereby increased by the following amount:

 

01-248-050-7791 00 - PM 2.5 Monitoring Project $24,178.00

 

Section 4. That the revenue in the following account of the Governmental Grants Fund is hereby reduced d by the following amount:

 

01-248-050-7792 01 - PM 2.5 Monitoring Project $ 2,601.00

 

Section 5. That the sum of $21,577.00 is hereby appropriated from the Unappropriated Fund Balance of the Governmental Grants Fund to the following accounts in the Governmental Grants Fund:

 

01-248-050-2238-A PM 2.5 Monitoring Project $19,419.00

01-248-050-2238-B PM 2.5 Monitoring Project 540.00

01-248-050-2238-C PM 2.5 Monitoring Project 539.00

01-248-050-2238-E PM 2.5 Monitoring Project 1,079.00

TOTAL $21,577.00
