ORDINANCE NO. 920424

 

Authorizing the Director of Health to enter into an agreement with Hospital Hill Health Services Corporation whereby, using graduate medical residents, it will provide OB-GYN consultation and medical and physician services to patients of the City's Family Planning and Prenatal Programs for one year beginning May 1, 1992, for which the City will pay $21,700.00 in previously appropriated funds and recognizing an emergency.

 

BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF KANSAS CITY:

 

Section 1. That the Director of Health is hereby authorized on behalf of the City to enter into an agreement with Hospital Hill Health Services Corporation, whereby it will provide, through graduate medical residents, professional OB-GYN consultation and medical services and physician services to patients of the Health Department's Family Planning and Prenatal Programs, for a period of one year beginning May 1, 1992. A copy of the agreement is attached hereto and made a part hereof by reference.

 

Section 2. That the Director of Health is hereby authorized to expend a sum not to exceed $21,700.00 from funds appropriated by Ordinance No. 920337 in Account No. 001-50221-B ($14,420.00) and in Account No. 001-50223-B, ($7,280.00), as consideration for the performance of the aforesaid agreement.

 

Section 3. That this ordinance, making provision for the expenditure of funds in connection with the preservation of the public health, is recognized as an emergency measure within the provisions of Article II, Section 15 of the Charter of Kansas City, Missouri, and shall take effect immediately upon passage.

I hereby certify that there is a balance, otherwise unencumbered, to the credit of the appropriation to which the foregoing expenditure, is to be charged, and a cash balance, otherwise unencumbered, in the treasury to the credit of the fund from which payment is to be made, each sufficient to meet the obligation hereby incurred.
