Accepting and approving a one year $118,000.00 contract with the Kansas Department of Health and Environment to provide funding for a medications and home health services for persons living with HIV/AIDS; estimating revenue in the amount of $44,667.00; and appropriating said sum to the Ryan White Title II Kansas account.

BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF KANSAS CITY:

Section 1. That a contract between Kansas City, acting through its Director of Health, and the Kansas Department of Health and Environment, acting through its secretary, whereby the Kansas Department of Health and Environment will provide funding for a medications and home health services for persons living with HIV/AIDS for the period of July 1, 1997 through June 30, 1998, for an amount not to exceed $118,000.00, is hereby accepted and approved. A copy of the contract, in substantial form, is attached hereto and made a part hereof by reference.

Section 2. That the revenue in the following accounts of the General Fund are hereby estimated in the following amounts:

98-100-050-7411 97 Ryan White Title II Kansas $26,667.00 98-100-050-7412 98 Ryan White Title II Kansas 18,000.00 TOTAL $44,667.00

Section 3. That the sum of $44,667.00 is hereby appropriated from the Unappropriated Fund

Balance of the General Fund to the following accounts in the General Fund:

98-100-050-2426-A Ryan White Title II Kansas $ 6,800.00 98-100-050-2426-B Ryan White Title II Kansas 37,867.00 TOTAL $44,667.00

I hereby certify that there is a balance, otherwise unencumbered, to the credit of the appropriation to which the foregoing expenditure is to be charged, and a cash balance, otherwise unencumbered, in the treasury, to the credit of the fund from which payment is to be made, each sufficient to meet the obligation hereby incurred.
