ORDINANCE NO. 950790

 

Authorizing acceptance of amendment to the Citadel Housing Urban Development Action Grant to direct the sum of $613,000.00 for the Prospect Corridor Neighborhood Development Project; reducing the appropriation in a certain account by the sum of $613,000.00 and reappropriating said sum; designating requisitioning authority; and authorizing execution of a $613,000.00 Cooperative Agreement with the Health Midwest Partnership for Change, Inc., and the Rehabilitation Loan Corporation for the Prospect Corridor Neighborhood Development Project.

 

BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF KANSAS CITY:

 

Section 1. That the Mayor is hereby authorized to execute on behalf of the City of Kansas City, Missouri, an amendment to the Citadel Housing Urban Development Action Grant No. B-87-AA-29-0022, with the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development in the amount of $613,000.00 to direct the funds for the Prospect Corridor Neighborhood Development Project.

 

Section 2. That the appropriation in the following account is hereby reduced by the following amount:

 

92-252-055-2082-B UDAG-Citadel Center Project $613,000.00

 

Section 3. That the sum of $613,000.00 is hereby appropriated to the following account in said fund:

 

96-252-055-2084-B UDAG-Prospect Corridor Development $613,000.00

 

Section 4. That the Director of the Department of Housing and Community Development is hereby designated as requisitioning authority for Account No. 96-252-055-2084-B.

 

Section 5. That the Director of the Department of Housing and Community Development is hereby authorized to execute a Cooperative Agreement, in the amount of $613,000.00, with the Health Midwest Partnership for Change, Inc., and the Rehabilitation Loan Corporation for the implementation of the Prospect Corridor Neighborhood Development Project to be paid from funds herein appropriated to Account No. 96-254-055-2084-B, UDAG-Prospect Corridor Development. A copy of said Cooperative Agreement, in substantial form, is attached hereto and is hereby approved.

I hereby certify that there is a balance, otherwise unencumbered, to the credit of the appropriation to which the foregoing expenditure is to be charged, and a cash balance, otherwise unencumbered, in the treasury, to the credit of the fund from which payment is to be made, each sufficient to meet the obligation hereby incurred.
