ORDINANCE NO. 120486

 

Authorizing an amendment with Burns & McDonnell Engineering Company, Inc. for design services for the Chouteau Trafficway Improvements project; and recognizing an emergency.

 

BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF KANSAS CITY:

 

Section 1. That the Director of Public Works Department is hereby authorized to execute, on behalf of the City, a $56,101.90 Amendment No. 1 with Burns & McDonnell Engineering Company, Inc. for design services for Project No. 70400001 – Chouteau Trafficway Improvements, in Kansas City, Missouri, Clay County, Council District 1 from funds previously appropriated to Account No. 2013-3090-878011-B-70400001. A copy of the amendment is on file in the Public Works Department.

 

Section 2. That this ordinance, relating to the design, repair, maintenance or construction of a public improvement, is recognized as an emergency measure within the provisions of Section 503 of the City Charter and shall take effect in accordance with that section.

I hereby certify that there is a balance, otherwise unencumbered, to the credit of the appropriation to which the foregoing expenditure is to be charged, and a cash balance, otherwise unencumbered, in the treasury, to the credit of the fund from which payment is to be made, each sufficient to meet the obligation hereby incurred.
